Le Meridien Denver: Pretty basic, but aren’t they all?

Basic room in Denver

For a conference I stayed near the convention center at Le Meridien in Denver. It was walkable to everything I needed, though the area is very commercial and not a neighborhood. Lots of offices and even a mall nearby. Meaning the area around the hotel felt pretty dead, even with a convention going on around the corner.

I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and my room was not ready yet. Likely given the weekend guests still checking out. With no lounge, I found a restaurant nearby.

I had a standard king room and as you can see, a pretty basic set up. The sink on the other side of the wall of the bed was an interesting approach.

I did have a nice view of the other downtown buildings, but other than that, a pretty basic hotel. I have never been overly impressed with the Le Meridien brand inside of Marriott Bonvoy. They bill themselves as a higher end property, but with no lounge and typically pretty small rooms, I’d rather stay at a standard Marriott than one of these.

Take a look for yourself.
